SPORT ACTIVITIES

Physical Education: The aims of this activity are as follows:

•  • Physical development.

•  • Basic theory knowledge that will make it easier to develop physically, they also ensure a good sport practice and a good way to maintain the body healthy during leisure time.

•  • Sport activities, where students practice their favourite sports and compensate their hard studies during classes and their short break times. This way, physical education comes to be one of the primary features of our educational project, especially in everything referring to the habits and principles of solidarity, tolerance and teamwork. Our sport program is extended with the activities that take place in our Sports Centre (Spanish).

MUSIC AND ART EDUCATION

The music and art formation has an important place in "El Pinar" because of its relevance in the students’ sensibility education. For this reason there will be a preferential treatment in our programs.

We already have El Pinar’s music school working were we teach scale singing, chorus singing and of course, instrument classes.

LANGUAGES SCHOOL

One of the aims of our school is to search for the widest language learning.
We are conscious of how important they have become, EL Pinar’s languages school teaches: English, French and German with official exams at the end of the school year.

The school’s classes’ times are still to be set, but we know they will be from Mondays to Thursdays.
El Pinar will as well manage a cultural exchange program with other countries .

ICT

The integration of the Information and Communication Technologies in our culture is a well known fact. The use and the knowledge of these technologies that each person has will determine, in great measure, their future.

We just have to take a look in the job requirements to know that. Based in this fact, and with the spirit the educational community of EL Pinar has, we offer our students the possibilities of accessing the necessary formation for the use of ICT .

We are living though a scientific revolution of great importance that requires a new vision of science, its application in the actual culture and education. Our primary objectives in this field are:

LIBRARY

Our school’s library is a meeting place between the staff and pupils, a place to seek for information and a place for learning where we can find:

•  A collection of more than a thousand books between encyclopaedias and novels.

•  A wide range of user guides and text books.

•  The daily newspaper, as well as different magazines.

•  A place to access the internet from to make our access to knowledge easier.

DIDACTIC PLAYROOM

To make it easier for parents to bend the times for picking up their children, our school has a didactic playroom service, where your sons and daughters will be able to play freely with the toys and materials from the class, having the possibility of meeting their classmates of different years. In the morning’s playroom, the families will be able to choose if their children take breakfast home or in school (milk, cereals and toasts). The playroom can be booked for a day or for larger periods (i.e. a month) in the school’s reception. .

SCHOOL TRANSPORT

In the registration form, you must specify the use of the school’s transport. If you don’t, it will mean that you are not going to use the school’s transport. If you are interested in using it later on, there might be a possibility that there are no places left. The school’s transport service will include the trip out of the school when it finishes.

CANTEEN

The company EUREST is hired to take care of the canteen service, we are specifically using its SCOLAREST division, which is completely dedicated to schools.

This service will work from Mondays to Fridays From time to time you will be told about the canteen’s menu so that you know the daily alimentation your children receive and so that you can complement it with the rest of the day’s meals.
Our canteen will take care of special diets that you tell us about from here .

SCHOOL UNIFORM AND TEXT BOOKS

The advantages of using a uniform are well known: comfort for the parents, it stops discrimination amongst the students, etc… as well as having a distinction and image representing an institution that takes care of details. For these reasons we ask, both parents and students, to respect uniform as much as possible. This uniform will be obligatory in Nursery, Primary and Secondary. It is obligatory to come to school and trips with the complete uniform. You will be able to buy the uniforms in the school since Friday 2nd of September; you can come within the secretary’s time to acquire it (9h – 13h and 16h - 18h) or you can buy it from this web. ESPECIALS HOLIDAYS AND EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE YEAR

The school organizes a wide range of trips throughout the year. These trips are concerning the areas studied during the year’s course, and you can see them in our annual program. The aim of these trips is to enlarge and improve the knowledge acquired at school.
