The Constitution Square is located in the heart of Málaga, next to the most interesting areas of the city. This Square has been the center of activity for the citizens of Malaga since the times of the reconquest, when it was called the Square of the Four Streets. It has also had other names, one was Plaza Mayor until in 1812. It was recalled “Constitution”, which since the fifteenth century has been the public and political space of the city par excellence. Until 1869 the city hall was located in this square, as well as other official buildings such as the house of the Justice of the Peace, the prison, the Courthouse and the Jesuits School. In 2003 it was pedestrianized and joint to the main street of the city, Calle Larios, one of the most recommended places to start your walking through the Historic Center of Malaga.
